Brasserie L’ecole is the place to feel the taste of the Classic French cuisine but if you want to take the chance, you need to appear there before 5:30. It is one of the most popular restaurants in the area and you will need to stand up in a line but it’s worth the wait!. The thing is that the restaurant is not that large and it is impossible to make any reservations. Make sure that you can spend some time in a line as you may be seated much later. At the same time, you do not have to stay in a line as you will be notified when your table is ready. More details here. (more…)

I have to admit that I never really thought I would enjoy Thai food as I assumed it was all super spicy and would be way too hot for my liking.
Thankfully, after meeting my friend Mark, a whole new world of food was introduced to me and now some of my favourite dishes are Thai ones. (more…)
With such an extensive and good quality beer list, the term “we’re here for the beer”, usually applies when we visit Spinnakers Pub (Gastro Brewpub).
As Canada’s oldest brewpub, beer is perhaps this pub’s strongest selling point but it also offers up some outstanding Inner Harbour views and some pretty good food as well.
I’m always on the lookout for a restaurant that serves great lamb and since I had read that The Black Olive Restaurant was “internationally known” for its rack of lamb, I had to check it out for myself.
I have to admit that though I have lived in Victoria for several years, this restaurant has been off my radar, being just slightly off the beaten path in downtown Victoria.
Having afternoon tea in Victoria is something everybody should do at least once.
Some of you may know it as “high tea” though technically I found out that term means a heavier meal served at dinner time.
