Flying Otter Grill0
If you’re looking for a casual restaurant that serves good food and drinks in a great waterfront location, look no further than to Flying Otter Grill.
Here you can relax on the covered patio and watch seaplanes, kayakers and marine life right from your seat (really, it’s not just a line from their website – during our last visit we got to watch 2 seaplanes take off and land, as well as get an up close view of a curious seal!)
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Flying Otter Grill also features convenient express options if you are heading out on a flight with not much time to spare.
Personally, I love this place for chillin’ with drinks at the end of the day. On our last visit I sipped some red wine while Mark tried one of their special “Otter Beer-tails” drinks called “Beer Punch”.
Made with Okanagan Springs 1516 Lager, vanilla vodka, OJ and raspberries, Mark said it was a very refreshing drink, though probably best suited for a warm summer day and not a chilly November one when we were there.
That being said, he did like the uniqueness of the punch.
Overall my favourite thing about Flying Otter is that it has seating right on the dock and with the covered heated patio, you can enjoy the great Inner Harbour views all year long.
This place really is as they say on their website, “Dockside dining done right.”
